NEW YORK – SG Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) today announced the appointment of David Stern to its debt syndicate desk as head of Securitization Syndicate Americas.

The appointment comes as Societe Generale attempts to increase its structured finance business in the North and South America. Earlier this year the firm launched an Americas RMBS and expanded its US asset-backed sales team.

Stern will be responsible for pricing and underwriting new securitization issues -including ABS, CMBS, RMBS and CDO’s – while coordinating distribution with SG CIB’s asset-backed sales desk.

Stern joins from JP Morgan where he was a senior member of the ABS syndicate desk and participated in distribution of structured asset-backed products in New York and London.

Stern will be based in New York. He has a MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
