Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking announces the appointments of Alvaro Huete and Ghislain de Brondeau as Global Heads of Syndication within the Capital Raising and Financing division. Alvaro, formerly Deputy Global Head of Syndication and Ghislain, previously Head of Equity Syndicate & Equity-linked teams will succeed Ian Fisher who will be taking up new responsibilities within the Corporate & Investment bank. These appointments take effect on 13 October 2008.

The Global Syndicate Group will add to its existing teams the Equity Syndicate and the Trade Credit and Political Risk Insurance group. With this initiative the bank aims to further reinforce the syndicate function by combining its skill set across the entire spectrum of the capital structure (loans, securities, equities), leveraging on debt to equity expertise to provide the optimum solution and structure to its issuer clients and to maximize distribution across the entire bank ́s investor base.

Within the European Syndicate group, the following appointments are announced, effective immediately:

Loan Syndicate will be headed by Damien Lamoril and Tanneguy de Carné. Damien, formerly Deputy Head European Loan Syndication and Tanneguy, formerly Head of European Leveraged Capital Markets will replace Stephen Swift.

Equity Syndicate will be headed by Marie-Ange Carrère, previously Deputy Head of Equity Syndicate & Equity-linked teams.

The Global Securities Syndicate will continue to be headed by Terence Shanahan with Eric Cherpion as his Deputy, and the Trade Credit and Political Risk Insurance group will continue to be headed by Catherine Aubert.
