SocGen targets Southern Europe with reshuffle

Lucrezia Brucoli has taken over as head of coverage supporting business development in Southern Europe at Societe Generale replacing Gabriele Pollastri who has taken a senior banking position within the firm’s Italian division.

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has appointed Lucrezia Brucoli as head of coverage to support business development, with a remit focused on Southern Europe.

In her new role, Brucoli will concentrate on the group’s sales and relationship management initiatives across Southern Europe with a principal focus on Italy and Spain.

She will also be tasked with increasing SGSS’ commercial presence in these countries and accompanying clients during the expansion.

Brucoli joins SGSS following a 16-year period at BNP Paribas Securities Services, where her most recent role was as global sales and relationship manager for the Italian market.

In her new role Brucoli will report to Mathieu Maurier, global head of sales and relationship management at SGSS and Frederic Barroyer, CEO of SGSS S.p.A in Italy.

Based in Milan, Brucoli replaces Gabriele Pollastri who has taken up a new role as senior banker for SGSS S.p.A in Italy.

Pollastri initially joined SGSS in 2012 following spells at JP Morgan, BNP Paribas and BNY Mellon.

His previous positions include global head of custody at BNP Paribas as well as deputy general manager of BNY Mellon’s Italian branch.
