Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has named Vincent Bonamy Head of Foreign Exchange for the Americas where he will be responsible for all currency related activity in the region.
Societe Generale provides corporate and institutional clients with hedging and trading services including spot, forward exchange, currency swaps, and currency options services in the world’s major and emerging market currencies.
Bonamy joins Societe Generale from Fimat USA, a subsidiary of Societe Generale, where he was Managing Director of Financial Products and Services (Fixed Income, Forex, Equities and Prime Brokerage) for the Americas region, a position he has held since 2002. Prior to this, he was responsible for business development and new products for Fimat. From 1994 to 2001, as an auditor at Societe Generale Central Audit-Inspection, Bonamy performed audits focused mainly on the bank’s investment banking activities.
Bonamy graduated from the ESSEC Business School, and has Masters degrees in Economics (University Paris-Dauphine) and Private and Public Law (University Paris-Assas).
He is based in New York and will report to Paolo Taddonio, Head of the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities division for the Americas.
