The Bond Market Association said today that U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow will be its keynote speaker at its annual membership meeting in New York City on April 22 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Also scheduled to speak are John A. Thain, chief executive officer of the New York Stock Exchange, Ben S. Bernanke, governor of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board, and Herbert H. McDade III, managing director at Lehman Brothers and 2004 chairman of the Association.

The BMA, with offices in New York, Washington, D.C. and London, represents securities firms and banks that underwrite, trade and sell debt securities globally.

Their annual meeting brings together fixed-income professionals focusing on critical issues such as price transparency, regulatory and market practice developments, conflicts of interest in fixed-income research, and other key topics confronting the global fixed-income marketplace, the BMA said.
