The mobile payment service company SmartPay was among the 100 Asian companies named in Red Herring’s ranking of technology leaders.
The 2-year-old company gives consumers the ability to purchase pre-paid credits, pay utility bills, transfer credit and make purchases by mobile phone.
“SmartPay has built a company which continues to be recognized internationally, but which offers a very specific service for facilitating payments in the unique Chinese marketplace,” said Greg Shen, CEO of SmartPay.
Red Herring monitors the technology industry and surveyed 500 Asian companies, ranking the top 100.
