State Street has appointed William Slattery as head of State Streets Global Services business in the UK, Middle East and Africa. This is in addition to his role as head of European Offshore Domiciles, which includes State Streets Global Services businesses in Ireland, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.
Susan Dargan, chief operating officer has been appointed head of State Streets Global Services business in Ireland.
Slattery is an executive vice president of State Street. He has headed up State Streets Global Services business in Ireland, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands since 2009. He worked for the Central Bank of Ireland for 23 years until 1996 when he joined Deutsche Bank.
In her new role Susan Dargan will have responsibility for the day-to-day management and future development of State Streets Offshore business in Ireland. Dargan was appointed Chief Operating Officer in April 2008, having joined the organization as head of investment services in 2003. She is a former director of Bank of Ireland Securities Services. She previously worked in the U.K. with Mitsubishi Bank and Northern Trust Company, and in Ireland with Allied Irish Banks.
