Skandias European Best Ideas Fund has passed the Euro 200 million milestone just four months after hitting Euro 100 million on its first anniversary.

The fund reached Euro 100 million in April – a year after launch. However, it has already doubled in size to Euro 200 million just four months later as renewed confidence in equities is felt across Europe and the fund performs well against its peers.

The success of this MultiManager fund against such a challenging economic backdrop also demonstrates the significant demand for Skandia Investment Groups (SIG) Best Ideas strategies from financial advisers and investors around the world. In total, Skandias five best ideas funds have generated nearly Euro 800 million under management in just over three years since the launch of the first fund – Skandia Global Best Ideas Fund in June 2006.

This Dublin-domiciled Fund, which launched on the 10th of April 2008, European Best Ideas is available to Skandias retail and institutional investors in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, France, Finland, Spain, Norway and Germany. It is also available via Skandia Internationals offshore products in more than 20 countries around the world. Following this success in Europe SIG is currently seeking regulatory approval for the fund to be sold in the UK as well as Colombia, Mexico, and Chile.
