SIS Swiss Financial Services Group AG has posted strong results for the first half of financial year 2007.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, business income increased to CHF 116.4 million and gross profit improved to CHF 53.4 million.

“Given these favourable figures, we expect again a positive overall result for 2007,” says Peter Sami, CEO of the SIS Group. “However, this also depends on the further development of the markets, which is difficult to assess.”

Assets under custody amounted to CHF 3,142 billion as at 30.06.2007. In the first six months of the year under review, the company settled over 21.3 million transactions. Volumes in all other business segments increased as well. SIS x-clear AG SIS x-clear has also seen an increase in clearing transaction volumes.

This positive trend is due to strong financial markets and above-average transaction volumes at virt-x in the first half of 2007.
