SIS SegaInterSettle has cut its prices again. With the latest reductions, effective in two rounds starting this month and a second in November this year, the company is passing on to users an annualised sum of SwFr 21 million.

The price cuts, says SIS, reflect increased transaction volumes and increases in assets in custody.

The price reduction effective this month affects custody fees and cross-border transactions.

“This second round of price reductions will not have any impact on the high quality of our services,” says Robert Rickenbacher, CEO of SIS SegaInterSettle. “Quality will remain the focus of our efforts in the second half of 2006.”

With this second price cut, investors in Europe, USA and Asia will enjoy a reduction in custody fees of up to 55%. The prices for cross-border transactions in various markets worldwide will fall by 15% to 50%. In its home market, Switzerland, SIS SegaInterSettle will introduce a new securities rebate for high deposit volumes.

SIS clients will also benefit from a price cut on book-entry securities for new issues via IBL (Internet-based listing) for listed and unlisted issues. Simplified and automated processes allow SIS to bring down prices by 60%.

The direct CSD link to Clearstream Banking Frankfurt, planned to be introduced in November 2006, is also expected to bring about lower custody and transaction costs. In particular, prices for OTC transactions will be reduced by up to 50% and locked-in trades via the Xetra system by up to 80%.

SIS SegaInterSettle remains committed to providing top-tier services at its customary high-quality standards and optimising the price/performance ratio of its services in favour of its clients by acquiring further volumes and increasing efficiency.
