Shepherd Building Group has appointed UK employee benefits services provider, Jardine Lloyd Thomson, to launch a Flexible Benefits scheme and provide pension administration services.
“The majority of employers say their biggest battle with their benefits package is how to make it more cost effective,” said Matthew Baker, Project Coordinator, JLT Benefit Solutions Limited. “Reducing the gap between the actual value of the benefits and their perceived value to employees is pivotal. It is important to provide benefits that staff actually want, thereby minimising money needlessly spent on unwanted benefits.”
Employees elected benefits at the end of 2005 with main products including PC Lease, holidays, childcare vouchers, travel insurance, dental insurance, and bicycles. The service is managed out of JLT’s Manchester office.
“We are receptive to cost effective ways to enhance employee benefits, especially where benefits can be matched to what individuals really want,” said Philip Clarke, Group Company Secretary, Shepherd Building Group. “We were seeking a service provider that would be able to offer a high degree of flexibility and with whom we could work in a close partnership.”
