The Singapore Exchanges (SGX) and Radianz announced today that SGX will distribute its market data services to the global marketplace using Radianz’s shared market infrastructure platform.

SGX becomes the third major exchange in Asia Pacific, joining major exchanges throughout Europe and the United States, and Electronic Communication Networks (ECNs), to use its platform.

SGX’s initiative will enable global participants to access critical stock market information on SGX with greater ease, facilitating their investment decisions. Overseas vendors and brokers will be able to subscribe to SGX’s real-time data on its cash and derivatives markets, namely SGX SecuritiesBook and SGX DerivativesQuote, via Radianz’s network.

“We are pleased to partner with Radianz to provide direct connectivity of SGX real-time market data to our international investors,” Gan Seow Ann, Executive Vice President and Head of Markets at SGX. “This further expands our network for disseminating financial information. The collaboration to provide efficient access demonstrates our commitment to continually enhance our services to customers.”

According to Jodi Burns, analyst with Celent Communications, “the trading world is becoming a smaller place in a business environment in which cost management is a key decision driver. With this new addition to the Radianz Provider community, SGX customers can realize the same cost-saving benefits of using Radianz while current Radianz Members now have access to new trading products from SGX.”

Chris Church, Executive Vice President, strategic client development at Radianz added, “SGX joins more than 140 Providers distributing products and services through Radianz to their customers around the world. This decision by SGX highlights Radianz’s strength in providing connectivity in the equity and derivatives trading markets. Along with equity and derivatives trading services, Radianz Providers include electronic and traditional venues for trading fixed income, foreign exchange, and futures & options products as well as providers of market data, order management, clearing, and securities services providers across the STP chain and around the world.”
