Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has created three new positions in the U.K., filling them with two external hires and one internal appointment.
One of thew new hires is Sarbjit Panesar, who has been appointed global head of business development for the Insurance sector. Panesar comes to SGSS from SS&C GlobeOp, and at SGSS he will be responsible for developing business solutions for both insurance companies and asset managers managing insurance assets. He reports to Etienne Deniau, head of Business Development for Asset Managers and Asset Owners in Paris.
The other new hire is Stephen Donnet, who will serve as head of Securities Banking Operations for the U.K., having previously worked as a director at City Consultants. At SGSS, he will be responsible for building out banking operations to service SGSS’ U.K. clients. He reports to both Bertrand Blanchard, SGSS’ Country Manager in the U.K., and Didier Rolland, global head of Securities Banking Operations in Paris.
Additionally, SGSS has appointed Florence Cuenet-Soulier as client solution manager for buy-side clients, having previously led the client management unit for hedge funds at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking in London. In her new role, she will be developing business and client solutions for asset managers and asset owners in the U.K. She will report to Bertrand Blanchard, SGSS’ Country Manager in the U.K., as well as Deniau.
