Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has launched a new fund distribution analytics tool for asset managers, using its own data lake to help optimise cross-border strategies.

The data lake stores and aggregates information and data from transfer agents, and will be used for funds domiciled in Luxembourg, Ireland and Germany.

SGSS added that it plans to add data from France, Italy, United-Kingdom and Switzerland in 2019.

The bank said the new solution, D-View, will provide asset managers a tool for decision support in the fields of distribution strategy of their funds across domiciles.

“With D-View, SGSS provides an intelligent reporting and analytics solution that meets the needs of asset managers looking to optimise their distribution strategy,” says Sarj Panesar, head of business development for asset managers at Societe Generale.

“Leveraging on new technologies, we are able to transform our clients’ information and to use it in an efficient way in order to offer them tailor-made analytics solutions.”

SGSS said its D-View enables asset managers to access a customisable dashboard tailored to their needs and provides them a consolidated view of distribution data of their funds across domiciles.

The tool gives detailed reporting and analytics on their investors, their distributors and their fund performance on different markets and allows asset managers to more easily adapt their distribution strategy.
