Societe General Securities Services (SGSS) has appointed Alessandro Cavallari as head of international sales.

In his role, Cavallari will focus on consolidating and accelerating the growth of the bank’s international franchise, which had recently been reorganised to include sales based in the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Middle-East and sales specialists covering front-to-back liquidity management solutions.

Cavallari joins Soc Gen from BNP Paribas Group, where he worked for 16 years. He joined the firm in 2006 as client relationship manager, holding a number of roles until he reached the position of senior global sales manager in 2018.

In a post on social media, Cavallari said: “I’m thrilled to share that I’m joining Societe Generale Securities Services as head of international sales. I’m very excited to embark on this new journey.”

Global Custodian this week published a feature on what the future may hold for Soc Gen, following the bank’s sale of its Russia operations.
