Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has made two hires, Thomas Brand and Eva-Maria Jakob, for its sales team in Germany.

Both hires are based in Frankfurt and report to Jochen Meyers, managing director of sales & relationship management for SGSS in Germany and Austria. Brand replaces Andreas Auer, while Jakob’s position is a new one for SGSS.

Brand has been appointed as sales director, with a particular focus on asset owners. Prior to joining SGSS, Brand had his own consultancy business that he founded in 2012, specializing in sales and relationship management as well as treasury advisory. Before that, he served as head of sales for Siemens KAG, and he has also held roles at various banks including Citibank and Helaba. In all, he has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry.

Jakob has been appointed as sales and relationship manager, responsible for developing relations with German and Austrian consultants, specifically administrative, strategy and pension consultants across all client segments. Before SGSS, she served as sales manager for institutional investors at Universal-Investment, which she joined in 2008. She has also worked in international customer service and key account management for manufacturer Performance Fibers in Luxembourg and Frankfurt.
