Fortress Investment Group LLC announced that former Senator John Edwards has joined the firm as a senior advisor.
The firms says that Edwards will provide support in developing investment opportunities worldwide and strategic advice on global economic issues.

Edwards, a US Senator from North Carolina from 1999-2005 and former Democratic vice-presidential candidate, Edwards currently serves as the Director of the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity. In addition, he is currently serving as the co-chair of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on Russian-American Relations.
