One of the UK’s qualifications for fund managers, stock analysts and investment advisers will be available via Computer Based Testing (CBT) from 4 April 2005 throughout the world.

The Securities & Investment Institute’s (SII) Certificate in Investment Management examination was sat by over 450 candidates in 2004 and the last pencil and paper exam sitting took place this month.

The availability of the Certificate in Investment Management examination by CBT means that candidates can choose the location, date and time of the examination as CBT will be available most days of the week.

Once the two hour multiple choice examination is completed, candidates will receive their results immediately rather than having to endure the current two week wait.

CBT allows unsuccessful candidates to re-sit as little as three days later so they can keep up the momentum rather than having to wait weeks or months for a re-test.
