Trema say SEB Asset Management, the largest asset management firm in Scandinavia, has gone live with the latest version of Trema Finance KIT. SEB Asset Management, a client of Trema since 1997, has upgraded an existing solution to deliver improvements in position, performance and limit monitoring, enabling risk managers, traders, portfolio managers and limit controllers to better identify the impact their decisions have on the performance of their investments.
Finance KIT 6.0 has been enhanced specifically to meet the diverse needs of the asset management segment and automates the entire investment process from order management to general ledger. SEB Asset Management will benefit from the system’s modern, open and extensible architecture, which delivers advanced front office and risk management capabilities with broad instrument coverage. The static data framework in Finance KIT will also provide SEB Asset Management with a better platform for the support of instruments, corporate actions and benchmark data.
SEB Asset Management was able to undertake the upgrade project largely in-house, building on the inherent flexibility of its existing Finance KIT system. Other Finance KIT functionalities that SEB Asset Management will benefit from include the system’s archiving ability and its security lending functionality. This provides users with total control over their securities lending activities, giving accurate monitoring of overall positions. For future use, SEB Asset Management has access to Finance KIT’s NAV monitor, order management and portfolio modeling functionality, which gives fund managers the ability to view their portfolios in real-time with automated calculations of derivative adjusted exposures.
