Pursuing the goals of its Strategy 2010, Saxo Bank has appointed two of its senior directors to two newly established key positions.

Torben Rene Larsen has been appointed executive director, global head of VIP clients.

The position reflects the growing importance of private wealth clients for Saxo Bank. As Saxo Bank’s global client base continues to expand, Torben Rene Larsen’s new role will be crucial to ensure a personalised and global approach to client service. This will be done via an integrated network of High Net Worth (HNW) desks in key Saxo Bank locations.

Simultaneously, Saxo Bank has announced that Stephan Martinussen has been appointed global head of Partner Sales, a new position created to expand Saxo Bank’s successful White Label partnership model. Stephan Martinussen was previously head of Global Solutions at Saxo Bank and responsible for the launch of SaxoWebTrader 2.0 and SaxoMobileTrader 2.0, Saxo Bank’s mobility-enhancing versions of its multi-asset class trading platform SaxoTrader.

The new role will be of crucial importance to ensure that Saxo Bank can continue to partner with leading financial institutions across the globe.

With the White Labelling model, the Bank’s online trading platform is customised and branded for other financial institutions and brokers. It is a central component in Saxo Bank’s global growth strategy. Saxo Bank has more than 120 White Label Partners and thousands of clients in more than 180 countries.

Both Torben Rene Larsen and Stephan Martinussen will report directly to Albert Maasland, Senior Executive Director & Head of Europe.

“Torben and Stephan have the skill sets and track records to drive Saxo Bank’s global growth strategy forward. The new appointments reflect our ongoing commitment to expand our private client business and our highly successful partner business,” says Albert Maasland, senior executive director and head of Europe, Saxo Bank.
