Saxo Bank has announced an increase in operating income of 61% globally, and a net profit increase of 23% for 2008.
UK operating income for the region grew by 160% and revenues for the London branch have reached GBP13.19 million.
2008 saw a major multi-media marketing campaign for the Saxo brand as well as enhancements in client on-boarding procedures and the launch of the Liquid Club, a concierge service for high-net-worth clients.
In 2009 Saxo Bank launched a new spread trading service, SaxoSpreads, which allows clients in the UK to spread trade across global indices, shares, commodities and major currencies.
As part of a long term strategy to establish Saxo Bank’s presence in wealth management for high-net-worth and institutional clients, Saxo Bank also strengthened its Private Wealth Management and Asset Management segments with the acquisition of Danish stockbroker and wealth management company Sirius in January 2009.
