A former director at Sapient Global Markets has departed to join Qatar National Bank (QNB) as its chief innovation officer, according to people familiar with the matter.
Leda Glyptis moved from London to Qatar in January this year to take up the new role and has been with QNB for the past two months.
A spokesperson for Sapient confirmed her departure.
As director at Sapient, she oversaw digital business transformation, consulting services and helped firms looking to deliver a mix of business, strategy and technology.
Glyptis previously worked at BNY Mellon as head of innovation, building out its innovation centre and working with start-ups to generate value.
She is considered an industry wide expert in financial technology, blockchain and the technology ecosystem.
Glyptis holds an MA from King’s College, Cambridge and an MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
