Sanne has appointed a new country head for Singapore, replacing David Fowley, who will now operate as global head of private equity at Sanne’s London office.

Tervinder Chal will take on the role in APAC, developing and driving Sanne’s alternative and corporate offering in Singapore and across the region.

Chal brings over 22 years’ experience in the financial services industry to the role.

Before joining Sanne, Chal spent around nine years at Vastardis Capital Services and Alter Domus in Singapore, building the two firms from scratch.

More recently, Chal served as head of APAC fund operations and finance for AEW where he oversaw and managed operations for four APAC-based real estate funds.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Tervinder to the senior leadership team. He has proven track record of leading firms to success, and as we continue to further expand he will play an instrumental role in growing out the Singapore business,” said Jing Jing Qian, managing director, regional head of APAC at Sanne.

Sanne is currently in the final stages of being acquired by Apex Group for $2 billion. The acquisition of Sanne adds a further £500 billion of assets to Apex’s ranks, increasing the fund administrators AUA over the $2 trillion mark.

The deal of the acquisition is set to become effective by the first half of 2022, according to the filing.

“I look forward to starting with the talented team at Sanne and working with the wider APAC business leaders to continue the excellent standard of client service delivery that Sanne is renowned for,” said Chal.
