Sanjiv Sawhney Named Head of Citi SFS EMEA, Replacing Andrew Gelb

Citi has appointed Sanjiv Sawhney as head of Securities and Fund Services (SFS) in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Sawhney replaces Andrew Gelb who is moving on to become head of Treasury and Trade Solutions for North America.

Citi has appointed Sanjiv Sawhney as head of Securities and Fund Services (SFS) in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Sawhney replaces Andrew Gelb who is moving on to become head of Treasury and Trade Solutions for North America.

In his new role, Sawhney will be responsible for leading the growth of Citis regional SFS platform and product offering for investor, issuer and broker dealer clients across EMEA. He will sit on Citis Transaction Services EMEA Executive Committee and Citis Global SFS Executive Committee. He will report to Aidan Brady and Elias Panayotopoulos, co-heads of Citi Transaction Services in EMEA and Neeraj Sahai, Global Head of SFS.

Sahai said Sawhneys track record in running global businesses will be instrumental in expanding Citis EMEA SFS franchise.

Sawhneys most recent position was global head of Fund Services at Citi. He previously worked at JPMorgan, where he headed Fund Services operations in Europe and was managing director as well as a board member of JPMorgan Bank Luxembourg.
