Finadium, a research and consulting firm in financial markets, announces its cooperation with Standard & Poors Index Services in the launch of S&Ps new indices in securities lending. Finadium acted as the lead consultant for Standard & Poors during the product development phase, and will serve as an external advisor on data and business development for Standard & Poors and index clients going forward.
Producing specialized, innovative indices such as the S&P Securities Lending Index Series requires specialized industry knowledge, says Robert Shakotko, managing director at Standard & Poors Index Services. We are pleased to be working in tandem with Finadium in rolling out the first public indices designed to provide transparency on the average cost of borrowing U.S. equities.
The S&P Securities Lending Indices represent a new stage for the securities lending industry by providing a public, relevant and transparent benchmark, says Josh Galper, managing principal of Finadium. We are pleased to be working with S&P on this strategic undertaking.
In its consulting practice, Finadium focuses on prime brokerage, securities lending, collateral management, custody and related topics in global financial markets. Finadium produces a research report series featuring surveys and proprietary analysis. Clients include banks, asset managers, pension plans, exchanges and technology companies.
