Dalton Strategic Partnership, the global asset manager, has hired Sally Macdonald as a Partner and fund manager of a new Pan Asian Fund.
Macdonald will manage the Melchior Selected Trust: Asian Advantage Fund, which DSP expects to launch on 1st March 2007. Macdonald, previously senior fund manager at Morley Fund Management (2004-2006), will be reporting to Andrew Dalton, CIO and Managing Partner of DSP LLP. At Morley, Macdonald was responsible for the Asian equity team which managed 17 funds representing over USD5 billion of assets under management, of which eight funds were managed directly by her.

Before joining Morley, Macdonald worked at Canada Life (UK) from 1997 -2003, where she was responsible for all aspects of the Asian equity desk. Prior to this, she was head of Asian equities at Lazard Brothers Asset Management.
