Mark van Vugt, RTS Managing Director, Europe, has been promoted to Global Head of Sales. In addition, Stphane Lannoy joined the firm as Managing Director, Asia Pacific.
In his new role, van Vugt will expand his responsibilities from the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Middle East to oversee all worldwide sales efforts and teams. RTS has offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Frankfurt, London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Stockholm and Sydney.
Christian Zahm has assumed responsibility for sales in continental Europe and the Middle East as RTS Sales Director, Europe.
Lannoy, with more than 20 years of experience working in financial services and technology positions for one of the worlds largest banks and futures brokerage firms, is leading the RTS Asia-Pacific unit, based in Singapore. He joins RTS from Newedge Group, where he most recently served as the Chief Information Officer for Asia Pacific, working out of the Hong Kong office.
Van Vugt, 42, joined RTS in 2001 to open the firms Amsterdam office. Upon the successful launch, he continued to run the office as Managing Director, Amsterdam, assuming responsibility in 2007 also for Germany and all of Continental Europe. This year, he took over responsibility for sales and support for all of Europe, including the United Kingdom.
Van Vugt has been active in the financial industry from trading, to front-office and back-office software for more than two decades. Prior to joining RTS, Van Vugt had been with Euronext for 14 years. He began his career there as a floor official at the European Options Exchange in Amsterdam and earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1993, after which he moved into management roles.
Lannoy, 44, has served in numerous leadership roles within Socit Gnrale Group, as well as Newedge and its predecessor, Fimat Group. He was the firms Asia Pacific CIO since 2005, after serving as Americas CIO out of New York from 2001 to 2005.
