Jean-Gabriel Romain has recently joined the Custody Services department. As manager of the sales department “investor services” while Emmanuel Cal was made manager of risk control in the same business line.
The Custody Services department, part of CDC IXIS Banking Services and Securities offers institutional investors a wide range of services, such as: custodianship, securities transactions, general meetings, reporting, portfolio performance measure, investor accounting, securities loans and taxation.
Jean-Gabriel Romain, 53 years old, holds a degree from EM Lyon and an MBA in Int’1 Affairs, AGSIM. He started his career at the Royal Bank of Canada where he held both corporate and institutional functions (1975 – 1984). He then joined The Chase Manhattan Bank as Director of the institutional department France, Poland and Ukraine (1985-1997). From 1997 on, Mr. Romain held the position of marketing director, France and CEEMEA at Citibank International Plc, in charge of Strategy and Commercial products sales and new product development.
Emmanuel Cal, 39 years old, holds an engineering degree from ENITAC and an MBA from the IAE Paris-Sorbonne. He started his career in a SSII Dataid (1989 – 1993) as computer project manager then as Consultant – Organization and Document Data Processing Information Systems.
Mr. Cal then joined Socit Gnrale in the Securities and Stock Market department where he started in 1993 as Senior Organizer – Backup Plan until 1996. He then became in charge of Back Office Europe (1997-2000). In January 2001, he became head of Global Securities Services at Socit Gnrale in Frankfurt.
