Robert Murphy joins global investment team of Ivy Asset Management Corp., a fund of hedge funds that is part of BNY Mellon Asset Management. His remit will include investment research, product development and portfolio management processes.
As director of Ivys investment strategies group Robert Murphy will report to Sean Cumiskey, managing director and head of the investment strategies group.
Murphy has extended experience in relative-value investment strategies, quantitative research and risk management functions. He held senior fixed income investment banking positions with A.G. Edwards, Cowen & Company, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Bear Stearns & Co., Inc.
Previously he worked as a partner and member of the firm’s portfolio management group at Meridian Capital Partners.
