Robert Meyrick, who left Bank of New York recently, has re-surfaced at Omgeo as a Senior Relationship Manager for the UK. At Omgeo, Meyrick rejoins his former colleague at Barclays Global Securities Services, Martin Brennan, who joined Omgeo late last year after leaving Clearstream in Luxembourg. Meyrick will focus on building the Omgeo client base among fund managers.

Meyrick spent seven years at Bank of New York. In his role there as Client Director, he led a team responsible for sales and relationship development, presenting Bank of New York’s global custody, master custody and fund administration services to clients and prospects in the pension and asset management sectors.

Before the Bank of New York, he was at Morgan Stanley, which acquired the Barclays business before selling the combined operations to Chase. At Barclays, his last position was as Client Director, Barclays Global Securities Services, responsible for existing client relationships and institutional business development, mainly in the UK market.

“Robert’s appointment as Senior Relationship Manager for the UK will bring rich experience to our European account management team,” says Martin Brennan, Managing Director, Global Client Solutions Group, Omgeo. “His familiarity with the changing investment management industry, from boutique firms to large traditional fund managers, further reinforces our focus on deepening our understanding of our clients’ workflows and of their diverse business requirements.”

Meyrick says he is looking forward to strengthening and expanding Omgeo’s relationships with fund managers. “Investment managers need to constantly streamline and upgrade their trade processing in order to meet demands for reduced costs and increased transparency from regulators and investors alike,” he says. “It will be my responsibility at Omgeo to ensure that we are responding to the needs of our clients and to assist them in maximising their business opportunities.”

Meyrick, who will be based in London, joins Catherine Eckhouse, Senior Relationship Manager. He reports directly to David Pember, Director, Sales and Relationship Management, EMEA, Omgeo.
