RMB MultiManagers Appoints Thor Abrahamsen As Senior Analyst

RMB MultiManagers has reappointed Thor Abrahamsen as senior analyst, Alternative Strategies, with responsibility for hedge funds and investment strategy research. Abrahamsen, 28, originally joined RMB MultiManagers’ Alternative Strategies Division in 2000 after taking a first class honours degree in Finance at the University of Strathclyde. He worked as a senior investment analyst in a team managing over $300m in several funds of hedge funds before leaving to go travelling in 2004. He spent seven months in Asia, including two months as a volunteer English teacher at an orphanage in Vietnam.

As well as speaking English and Norwegian, he has an excellent understanding of Swedish and Danish.

Commenting on Thor’s appointment, Richard Atkinson said, “We are delighted that Thor has rejoined us. We missed his services while he was away but I am glad that he has returned ready to take on new challenges.”

Thor said, “My travels have given me an improved outlook and now I am fully refreshed and motivated to get back into the swing of the financial world.”
