Reuters has formed a third party reference data alliance with Odyssey Asset Management Systems that aims to help customers manage the data demands of regulatory initiatives such as EUSD, MiFID and Basel II.

Caroline O’Shaughnessy, Head of Third Party Alliances for Reuters DataScope, says the alliance enables European clients to access Reuters data in ways that will help them meet regulatory challenges. “By providing our global data sets alongside the key data requirements such as EUSD and Basel II, we are making sure that our clients have the freedom to concentrate on their own business needs,” she says.

In effect, the data offered by Reuters DataScope can now be accessed via Odyssey’s Triple’A Portfolio Management system, Advisor Relationship Management system and Nexus, its centralized repository for financial data.

“We are very excited about making Reuters DataScope’s trusted content available over Odyssey’s leading products,” says Mario Orphanou, Business Solutions Manager for data management products at Odyssey Asset Management Systems. “Customers can now benefit from Reuters DataScope’s high quality data, within a short time to market, to enrich their current internal and external data sources. In a time with ever more challenging regulatory requirements, such as Basel II and MiFID, it is important to give our customers the flexibility and freedom to adapt their data strategy with standard functions and tools that will help our customers meet these challenges.”

Odyssey Asset Management Systems now offers Reuters DataScope as an optional packaged adaptor with an embedded quality control mechanism for versions of Triple’A, Advisor and Nexus.
