REGIS-TR, the joint venture between Clearstream and Iberclear, has united with the European Energy Exchange (EEX), Gaspoint Nordic and Powernext to provide REMIT reporting services.

The Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) requires market participants to report wholesale energy market contracts within the EU, through a registered reporting mechanism (RRM) such as REGIS-TR.

EEX, Gaspoint Nordic and Powernext are all members of EEX Group, which is part of Deutsche
Börse.

The REMIT reporting service offered by EEX, Gaspoint Nordic and Powernext enables market participants to delegate their reporting obligations to the three organised market places.

As a result of the collaboration, clients of all three energy companies will therefore be able to meet their REMIT obligations, by reporting data to ACER via the European trade repository.

Participants can also submit their transactions to REGIS-TR, in order to obtain a consolidated view of all of their reported data.

Standardised contracts for organised market places will need to be accounted for from October 7th 2015, whereas the REMIT reporting obligation for all other contracts shall apply from April 7th 2016.
