Neil Edelstein, who specializes in reference data and securities pricing services, has joined Jordan & Jordan’s Management Consulting Practice. Jordan & Jordan says his experience in addressing data quality, sourcing and distribution issues from the perspectives of both the vendor and the consumer will provide clients with practical solutions to meet their security master file and reference data management challenges.

“Given the industry’s focus on risk management, our clients increasingly view reference and pricing data to be critical components of an enterprise solution,” says Tom Jordan, President of Jordan & Jordan. “In addition, Neil’s industry experience as an executive who has built businesses with a customer focus will prove valuable to many clients for whom Jordan & Jordan provide management consulting services.”

Edelstein is best known for his time at Muller Data, where he developed its reference data and end-of-day pricing services to enable the firm to become a global distributor of daily pricing information for mutual funds and securities processing applications. The business was eventually sold by its parent, Thomson Financial, to FT Interactive Data.

Edelstein joins Jordan & Jordan from Accenture where he was a Senior Manager of Data Management Services. He also previously held positions in strategic marketing with SunGard and FAME.

Jordan & Jordan offers management consulting, technology services, market data services, programme management and executive search services to buy and sell-side firms, information vendors, industry associations, aand stock and futures exchanges. Areas of expertise include securities processing for all instruments, electronic trading systems, real-time market data distribution, reference data management, regulatory and exchange compliance, and more. Jordan & Jordan has offices in New York, Chicago, London and Singapore.
