Reech Capital PLC has appointed Richard Gilbey as Chief Financial Officer to manage the growth of the business across continental Europe and Asia, and drive the company’s continued investment in its expanding suite of capital markets products and services.

Gilbey joins Reech Capital from Indochina Asset Management Limited, having spent the last three years in South East Asia latterly as Chief Investment Officer. During this period he managed two private equity funds, one of them Vietnam’s largest, and was responsible for identifying and implementing acquisitions and other strategic opportunities, securing financing from banks and new investors, and executing new investments and disposals.

He began his career at PricewaterhouseCooper’s in London where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1990 and, latterly, spent six years working in PwC’s Corporate Finance Department. During this time, he led a range of transactions including acquisitions and disposals, MBO’s, takeovers and IPOs.

Christophe Reech, chief executive of Reech Capital, said: “After a period of rapid growth it was important for us to appoint someone who could manage our expansion and guide Reech Capital through its next stage of development. We believe that Richard Gilbey’s relevant strategic experience and forward-thinking attitude will enable us to realise our full potential.”
