BMO Capital Markets has hired a former head of securities lending at RBC Investor and Treausry Services (RBC I&TS) as a director within its global equity finance business.
Mary Jane Schuessler joins the Canadian broker where she will be focused on covering, utilising and optimising its prime brokerage positions.
She will also be responsible for improving its overall client experience when servicing their custodians, asset managers, pension fund and hedge fund clients.
Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Schuessler was the head of North America securities lending at RBC I&TS, where she managed the global front-office team that worked on optimising lending revenue on behalf of the bank’s custodial clients.
She also worked closely with business management and sales teams globally to develop growth strategies and lead the direction of its securities lending programme.
“We are happy to welcome Mary Jane to our team in Toronto. She has meaningful and relevant industry experience and will be integral to the continued expansion of our equity finance platform globally,” said Tony Venditti, managing director and global co-head of the prime finance group, BMO Capital Markets.
