RBC Global Services Australia today announced the appointment of Kate Homewood as Regional Head, Relationship Management, and Rob Chowdhury as Director, Business Development. Homewood will permanently relocate to Sydney in July, and Chowdhury’s appointment will begin in two weeks.
“Both Kate and Rob are very qualified professionals with extensive experience in the investor services industry,” said Tony Johnson, Global Head of Sales & Relationship Management, RBC Global Services. “Kate has been a consistently high performer for our sales and relationship management team, since she joined us three years ago. Rob has a strong track record in developing new business and expanding market share, most recently in the global custody market with Omgeo.”
Homewood will assume responsibilities for the RBC Global Services Australia relationship management strategy with key clients, as well as supporting growth within the client base. Prior to accepting this role, she served as Director, Relationship Management, RBC Global Services, based in London. Her experience includes various senior management positions with leading fund administration/global custody providers. Prior to joining RBC, Homewood worked for Bank of New York and RBS Trust Bank in the UK. Her roles included managing many different client organizations including fund managers, pension funds, life assurance companies, unit trusts and industry consultants.
Chowdhury will have the mandate of driving new business, in this new business development role. He joins RBC Global Services Australia from Omgeo after a 12-year career within the Thomson group. Most recently based in Singapore, Chowdhury was responsible for the creation and execution of Omgeo’s strategy to grow their market share with global custodians. Prior to this, he was Sales Director at Thomson Financial in Sydney focusing on investment managers and brokers.
