RBC names new head of asset servicing in Canada

David Linds has previously held positions at CIBC Mellon and the Bank of Montreal.

RBC Investor and Treasury Services has appointed David Linds as MD and head of asset servicing Canada for global client coverage.

Linds will be based in Toronto and takes responsibility for sales and client coverage across asset servicing segments including Canadian sub-custody.

Prior to his new role Linds spent 19 years with CIBC Mellon where he was most recently senior vice president, business development and relationship management.

In addition to this, Linds also completed a nine-year spell as senior manager, corporate and government banking at the Bank of Montreal financial group.

Linds will report to head of Canadian client coverage at RBC Investor & Treasury Services James Rausch.

“David’s extensive experience in asset services and custody deepens the bench strength of our coverage team and his appointment underscores our commitment to advancing our specialist provider strategy in the Canadian market,” said Rausch.
