RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) has hired Australian global custody veteran David Brown as head of global client coverage for the country.

Brown joins from JP Morgan where he was most recently executive director, sales and relationship management for Australia.

Reporting to David Travers, head of I&TS Australia, Brown will be responsible for leading all sales and client coverage activities in the region.

“As we look to grow market share in the region, David’s proven track record for developing businesses, coupled with his deep industry experience will significantly bolster our competitive position,” said Travers.

Global Custodian understands that RBC I&TS has also hired Marian Azer, also from JP Morgan. At the time of publishing, an RBC I&TS spokesperson had yet to confirm.

She was previously head of product for investor services for Australia and New Zealand.

The Canadian-based custodian has made a number of strategic hires to its global client coverage business, focusing on its European team. It most recently appointed Geert Pick as global head of product management and Aneet Shah as head of global client experience.
