RBC Investor Services to Close Melbourne Office

RBC Investor Services, the custodial subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, will close its Melbourne office.

The custodian has one other office in Australia, and the company confirmed in a statement that all employees affected by the closing in Melbourne will have the opportunity to move to the Sydney office.

“[W]e are committed to supporting our employees throughout this process,” the company said. “Any impacted employees will be treated fairly, respectfully and consistent with RBC values and the changes will in no way affect the high standard of service all of our clients in Australia currently receive.”
