RBC Global Services appoints new Director in London

RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services (IIS) announced the appointment of Simon Coleman as Director of Operations in London, U.K. In his new role, Simon will oversee all aspects of global custody processing in more than 80 worldwide markets.

RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services (IIS) announced the appointment of Simon Coleman as Director of Operations in London, U.K. In his new role, Simon will oversee all aspects of global custody processing in more than 80 worldwide markets.

Simon comes to RBC Global Services from KPMG, where he held a number of progressive leadership positions, including Principal Consultant for Financial Sector Consulting and operational responsibility for the Investment Management and Investment Banking practices. His extensive experience with KPMG also includes lead responsibility for outsourcing projects on the sell side for a global custodian and on the buy side for a U.K. based investment manager. While at KPMG, Simon also had responsibility for the management of a major retail broker’s operations and a lead role in the Global Straight-Through Processing Association (GSTPA) business case project, as part of the overall GSTPA industry initiative.

Previously, Simon has also worked as Assistant Director, Global Head of Custody and Network Management for ING Barings Securities Limited, and Head of Global Trust and Custody Operations (Europe) for Mellon Trust.

Simon replaces David Banks, who has accepted a new position with RBC Global Services as Director of Operations, Australia.
