RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada has hired two senior equity analysts to join its growing European platform. Jonathan Guy and Tim Huff both join RBC Capital Markets as Directors in Equity Research, with a focus on mining.
Huff joins RBC Capital Markets with over 17 years experience, having previously covered global resources, basic materials and mining. Most recently Huff was at Royal Bank of Scotland, as an equity analyst covering the mining and steel sectors. Prior to that, Huff was at Cargill, Citigroup and Credit Suisse. At RBC Capital Markets, Huff will be covering London listed mining and metals companies, as well as select European steel and smelting companies.
Guy also joins RBC Capital Markets with extensive experience having been involved in the industry for over 11 years. Most recently, Guy was at Investec where he was a Mining Analyst, covering UK mid and small-cap mining companies. Prior to this, Guy held similar positions at Natixis, Collins Stewart and Seymour Pierce. Guy recently achieved a #2 position in the Extel Investor survey in the UK Small Cap; Metals and Mining category. At RBC Capital Markets, Guy will be focused on London listed precious metals mining and exploration companies.
