RBC Investor and Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) services has appointed JP Morgan’s Hong Paterson as country head and director of global client coverage in Singapore.

In her new role, Paterson will be responsible for leading business development and client coverage activities in the country.

She was previously responsible for cash and liquidity management offerings at JP Morgan Investor Services Asia Pacific.

Paterson has also held business management roles with JP Morgan in New York, London, Chicago and Hong Kong.

“Hong’s substantial experience and extensive knowledge of the local market will be invaluable in driving our business and client activity in Singapore,” said Andrew Gordon, managing director for Asia at RBC I&TS.

Paterson’s appointment is the latest development for RBC I&TS in the APAC region.

Earlier this year RBC I&TS was selected to provide custodian and administration services to Australian based UFS in a billion-dollar appointment.

UFS is the treasury and investment services arm of the Uniting Church in Australia and currently holds over $1.25 billion of funds under management.

At the end of 2016 the firm also appointed Rosemarie Kriesel from BNY Mellon as managing director for global client coverage based in Hong Kong.
