RBC has named Janice Fukakusa as Chief Administrative Officer, while keeping her role as CFO. Her new position will mean that she will be in charge of overseeing technology and operations.

“Janice will lead process and technology improvements to help our businesses improve the client experience and competitively differentiate RBC,” says Gordon M. Nixon, RBC’s President and Chief Executive.

Fukakusa gained the professional designations of chartered accountant and chartered business valuator whilst previously working for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

RBC has also named Morten Friis as Chief Risk Officer. His duties will include overseeing the strategic management of enterprise risk.

“Morten has led RBC’s risk management activities effectively through all market conditions. I know he will make a significant contribution to the discussions and strategic decisions of the Group Executive going forward,” says Nixon.

Prior to this role Friis worked as Executive Vice-President and Chief Credit Officer with RBC.
