Western Union has appointed Ranjana Clark as new executive vice president of global payments and global strategy. Clark will be based in Englewood, Colorado, US.
Clark replaces Royal Cole who will play an integral role in the transition of the payments business and completion of several strategic development projects before he leaves the company in the next few months.
Clark has served in a variety of leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Wachovia and Deutsche Bank. She will join Western Union in late March 2009 as a member of the executive committee, reporting to Christina Gold, president and CEO of The Western Union Company.
“We look forward to accelerating the global expansion of our consumer-to-business payment offering,” says Christina Gold. “We are confident that Ranjana can apply her strategic and international expertise to build our global footprint in the important payments arena.”
