CIBC Mellon says Rajesh Uttamchandani has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, human resources, which makes him responsible for the company’s human resources function. He will also serve as a member of the company’s executive management committee.
“Raj brings extensive human resources and organizational development expertise to CIBC Mellon,” says Thomas C. MacMillan, president and chief executive officer. “With more than 10 years of experience in the financial services, health care, retail and technology sectors, he is a strong addition to our company.”
Uttamchandani holds B.Sc., MBA, Master of Industrial Relations and LL.B. degrees. He is currently pursuing an LL.M. in employment and labor law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Prior to joining CIBC Mellon, Uttamchandani led the human resources, information technology and administration functions at Gap Inc. Canada. He has also held roles of increasing responsibility at Baxter Healthcare, Nortel and the Bank of Montreal.
