Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has created Group Securities Services to position its custody business as a group product, underlining its strategic importance for RBI Group.
It has also strengthened the custody product by recruiting in the CEE region.
New recruits include Andrew Stocks, System Specialist, GSS’ IT Program. Stocks began his career at J.P. Morgan in London. He has since played a role in developing BNP Paribas’ securities settlement system, which was rolled out across all BNP Paribas branches, and installed in Vienna by Bank Austria in 2000. Prior to joining Raiffeisen Bank, Stocks played a role in the support and development of UniCredit Group’s custody system.
Zsuzsanna Kiss, Corporate Actions Specialist, GSS Hungary, has also joined the team. Kiss has worked as a senior account manager and corporate actions specialist in UniCredit Group’s GSS Hungary team.
“It is our clear goal to turn RBI into the most progressive and most sophisticated securities provider in Austria and in the 14 CEE countries where we are present with our GSS units,” says Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy, executive director and head of Group Securities Services at RBI. “To achieve this goal within a very short period of time it is not enough to have the right business model and a ground breaking IT strategy in place, but we also need to have a very experienced and enthusiastic team in place which is ready to drive the changes and build the business line at a fast rate of knots. We have announced a number of hirings in the past year, now it is my pleasure to welcome on board eith new colleagues in our Austrian, Polish, Hungarian and Ukrainian GSS units.”
