Samuel A.DiPiazza Jr., CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers International, has today announced to PwC partners that he has asked PwCs Global Board to begin the process of finding his successor.
With our new network organisation and leadership structure now approved and in place I felt the time was right to begin the process of handing over to new leaders. I have been extremely proud to serve as global CEO of PwC for the last seven years. We have achieved a great deal, often in challenging times, cementing PwCs position as market leader and developing the right strategy and structure to secure our long term success. I have hugely enjoyed my 35 years at PwC and it has been an honour to serve as global CEO for the last seven of these. I will continue to work closely with my colleagues to ensure a smooth transition for my successor,DiPiazza said.
I am also very proud of my profession. It has always stood for integrity and transparency. We have changed over the last seven years to better serve the investors of the capital markets. I will leave this leadership role knowing the accounting profession is in a better place today.
