Paul Christensen, Goldman Sachs’ co-head of Principal Strategic Investments, a team leading the bank’s ‘Project Colin’ collateral utility, is set to leave the bank.
Christensen will leave the London-based unit, which focuses on market structure-related strategy, after serving almost nine years as co-head.
A spokesperson for Goldman Sachs declined to comment.
It is unclear whether his departure will affect Project Colin, which aims to create a utility to help banks exchange collateral, in order to meet new margin rules for uncleared OTC derivatives. Christensen’s unit is understood to be responsible for the project.
Around eight top tier investment banks have been invited to participate in the project, including J.P. Morgan, Citi and Barclays.
Prior to joining Goldman in 2006, Christensen was head of Strategic Investments at Deutsche Bank.
