Global Custodian, in partnership with HSBC, is pleased to launch a new research project aimed at capturing the pulse of the growing private markets sector.
The private markets industry has experienced unprecedented growth and transformation over the past decade, reshaping the global investment landscape. As market participants navigate the fast-moving sector, understanding the key trends, challenges and opportunities has never been more critical.
This inaugural survey from HSBC and Global Custodian will explore institutional investor perspectives on the evolving sector, seeking to understand allocation trends, key drivers of growth, preferred asset classes and the regional investment opportunities within the sector.
Operational readiness is also a significant focus of the study, with respondents asked to assess the scalability of their current tech stacks and their priorities for further growth, while also looking at the most important factors when considering servicing partners.
Accompanying the findings will be expert commentary from Tony McDonnell, Global Head of Alternative Investments, Securities Services, at HSBC, who will provide his perspective on the evolving landscape and provide insight on how market participants can get ahead in the fast-moving space.
Commenting on the launch of the research, McDonnell said: “This survey is crucial for the private markets industry as it will provide invaluable insights into the evolving trends and challenges that institutional investors face. By capturing diverse perspectives, we can better understand how to navigate this dynamic landscape and identify the opportunities that lie ahead for market participants.”
The findings of the survey will be published in a free-to-read comprehensive report later this year.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and is accessible here.
